THE PLOT:

Mild Mannered man Henry Limpit wanted to fight for his country but due to flat feet he was dubbed 4F. Also Henry has a fanatic about fish. When he wishes to becomes a fish. Then during a trip with Betsy and an old friend George he falls into the ocean and is magically transformed into a fish.

Now adapting to life as a fish is harder and more dangerous then Henry thought it would be. But he makes new friends along the way, Crusty the hermit crab and Lady Fish. Together they help the allies fight Nazi subs with the help of a sound that Henry is reborn with, the thrum as Henry dubs it.

But when he falls in love with Lady Fish, he is torn between his love for her and his human wedding vows to Betsy, the wife he left behind on land.

THE OPINION:

This is a classic film, fun and funny, entertaining and touching. A good moral. Be careful what you wish for. For dreams can fool you and they very often do. The acting and the interaction between the human characters and the character of Henry is flawless. But it is a little draggy, like allot of Don Knotts films of this time peroid.
I GIVE IT (9 STARS)

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS)

+ FUN FAMILY FILM (This is a film you can watch over and over again with your kids and your grandkids)
+ MUSIC (There is some great music in this film. I wonder if there's a soundtrack?)
+ STORY (The story of a man magically transformed into a fish is strange and very cool)
+ EFFECTS (The interaction between fish Limpit and the human chacters were blended in seemlessly)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES)

- DRAGGY (Like allot of Don Knotts films it gets draggy at points)
